Saturday's Brutaal Genesis show canceled Print E-mail

The Brutaal Genesis all-amateur show scheduled for Saturday in Brooklyn Park has been canceled.

Matchmaker/promoter Nick Gamst waited until the last minute to finally pull the plug on the show, because he said he was still hoping to pull it off. But two fighters pulled off the card late this week, and that left Gamst with just five fights remaining (there were only seven scheduled). So he decided to finally call off the show. He informed the Minnesota Combative Sports Commission about the cancellation this morning.

The event was set to take place at the Brooklyn Park Armory, with a start time listed as 7 p.m.

Gamst and his Brutaal promotion will return to action Feb. 4 with a big pro card at The Myth in Maplewood.
