Two belts are on the line Saturday night in La Crescent during 3 River Throwdown XI.

Iron Works and Eric Anderson are set to present their 11th installment of the popular 3 River Throwdown series. Fights are scheduled to start at 6 p.m. at the La Crescent Community Arena. Tickets start at just $25.

The event includes three professional fights, two amateur title fights and three total female bouts.

The night's main event features Iron Works' own Nick Ammerman taking on Wisconsin native Nate Mortson at a catch weight of 160 pounds.

Ammerman, who is one of the owners at Iron Works, is 2-0 as a pro, while Mortson brings a 2-1 record into the bout. Mortson is an outstanding wrestler, and he's now training at the Lab in Glendale, Ariz.

"Nick is 2-0, but he hasn't fought in five years, and at 35 years old, he wanted to go through one more fight camp and be back i nthe cage rather than outside coaching," said Anderson, who's the

matchmaker and another Iron Works owner. "(Ammerman) takes on a very tough Nate Mortson, who has fought for us before, but he ow lives in Arizona and trains at the MMA Lab. This fight is one that we're all excited to see."

The night's co-main event is a 125-pound showdown between Lloyd "Albie" McKinney of Iron Works and the Academy's Jason Huntley.

Huntley is 4-4 as a pro, while McKinney is 9-5. McKinney is ranked No. 9 in the MNMMANEWS Unified Rankings at 135-and-below.

"I love this fight," Anderson said. "Lloyd is coming off a loss to Mitch White at LFA, where he moved up to 135. He knows 125 is his weight class, so we brought in a very well-rounded Jason Huntley, who trains under Greg Nelson at the Academy. This should be a great fight as both guys are very quick and skilled."

The night's other professional bout features the long-awaited professional debut of Alton Cunningham, who was the MNMMANEWS Amateur of the Year in 2016.

Cunningham is set to square off against Kyle Walker at middleweight.

Cunningham has heavy hands and an improving ground game.

"This fight will not go the distance as both fighters are very heavy strikers," Anderson said. "Alton is making his pro debut after going 7-1 as an amateur, with all seven wins by knockout. He's taking on a pro boxer and southpaw in Kyle Walker, who trains at the Den in Illinois. This fight will have the crowd on its feet from start to finish as both will be looking for a knockout."

The big showdowns from the amateur portion of the card are the two title fights.

Fighting for the amateur 145 title are Victor Cabadas and Felipe Martinez-Donis.

Cabadas is just 4-4 as an amateur, and he comes in having lost two straight. Cabadas previously trained at Imperial in Rochester, but now he's training at American Top Team in Savage.

Martinez-Donis is a perfect 2-0; he has finished both of his opponents.

"This is another favorite fight of mine as a more experienced Victor Cabadas takes on Felipe Martinez," Anderson said. "Victor has made a gym change and now trains at ATT Savage with Brandon Jenkins. Felipe is 2-0, but both of his wins came by ref stoppage. Felipe has a huge following, so this fight will have the crowd cheering."

The other title fight going down Saturday is for the 3 River Throwdown ladies title at 130 pounds. Jordan Nickelatti faces Kat Bassignana.

Bassignana is 3-3 as an amateur, and she's coming off a decision loss. Nickelatti is 1-1 and she's coming off a vicious KO loss against 5-1 Helen Peralta in March.

Bassignana is ranked No. 8 in Minnesota, while Nickelatti is No. 9.

"This is our first female title fight and both girls are very excited to get an opportunity to fight for it," Anderson said. "Jordan is a hometown girl here, but she now lives in Minneapolis and trains under Tom Schmitz at Spartan. Even though she's coming off a loss, she says she's more ready than ever to win this belt. Bassignana is a more experienced fighter and now trains at the Academy. She's also very confident and excited about this opportunity."

There are seven other amateur fights on the card. Derek Gottlieb is set to face Alex Dashkov in an excited 170-pound matchup.

There are two more female fights on the card as Danielle Edelburg squares off against Lexi Punzel at 130, and Brittany Nieman meets Jesse Bolton at 115.

At 170, Jonah Ruby meets Ryan Onshus, and Javier Moreno faces Tyler Manning at a catch weight of 140. John Manka meets Garrett Carlson (155), Paul Higgins gets Cody Colson (205) and Aaron Shaw faces Rodney Nash (195).
