If there was any area "Suga" Shane DeZee figured to have an advantage over Logan "The Pink Pounder" Clark, it was on the ground.

But that's where Clark proved most dangerous Saturday night during Havoc at the Hyatt.

After a takedown by DeZee, Clark locked in a kimura and submitted "Suga" just one minute into Saturday's main event.

The submission came from an awkward position, with DeZee in Clark's inverted guard. The crafty Clark won his second consecutive fight after a loss last year to Jason Guida. The Eyota native and Rochester MMA coach improved to 15-4 as a professional.

In the night's co-main event, former undefeated Augsburg wrestler Marcus "The Prospect" LeVesseur proved to be too much for previously unbeaten Iowa standout Mike Plazola.

The 155-pound showdown didn't last long, with LeVesseur locking in a rear-naked choke in the first round. Plazola came into the fight with a 6-0 record, while LeVesseur improved to 17-3.

LeVesseur will head to North Carolina this week to participate in the open tryouts for "The Ultimate Fighter."

In a matchup of two outstanding wrestlers, former Gopher Nick Kirk outlasted Kurtis Ehrhorn. After a good first round, Kirk slapped on an arm bar in the second and forced Ehrhorn to submit.

Kirk improved to 2-0, while Ehrhorn dropped to 3-1.

Zach Juusola created a buzz with the first fight of his career earlier this year, and he didn't

disappoint in his second fight on Saturday. Juusola scored another victory by TKO, this time finishing Derek Abram in the first round.

One of Wisconsin's top fighters, Floyd Hodges, improved to 5-1 with his win over Zach Schumack at 145 pounds. Hodges earned a TKO victory in the second round over Schumack, who dropped to 7-4-1.

Wrapping up the pro portion of Saturday's card, Jedidiah Jones recorded a first-round TKO victory over Robert Dawson at 175 pounds.

There also were three amateur fights. Nick Hudenette scored a win by submission over Cole Reis after locking in a rear-naked choke in the first round.

Benjamin Jones was a winner by TKO in the third round over Zach Morse, while Thomas Krumrei scored a KO victory over Josiah Draves in the second round.

The next Seconds Out promoted event will be April 23 at the St. Paul Armory. There will both boxing and MMA on that card, and Mike Richman is scheduled to be in action.
